Game Swap Opens in Lomita CA:
Hyper Game Action first opened in 1993 under the name Game Swap. Its purpose was to offer a place for gamers to sell their used games to buy newer ones. We carried some import games, but the main focus was buying and selling used games.

April 1994

Hyper Game Action opens in Torrance CA:
In 1994 the company moved to a new location in Torrance CA. With the location change came a name change and it was renamed Hyper Game Action to move away from being associated with only used games. The company changed its focus to carrying the latest games and having the biggest selection of games both import and domestic.

October 1998

Hyper Game Action Opens in Costa Mesa CA:
With increase in revenue from the success of the company’s new sales focus Hyper Game Action decided to expand and open a 2nd store in Costa Mesa.

September 2000

With the increasing success of both stores and the growing popularity of the Internet, Hyper Game Action decides to take a step forward and start an online store. Of course the company focus was kept the same, to bring our customers the latest games and having the widest selection both import and domestic.
